1814 50C AU50 PCGS

Delicately toned from an old envelope, this popular 1814 Capped Bust Half date is not only attractively toned with natural hues over steely fields contrasted by peripheral aquamarine and gold rings. Tough to capture the color, however, when angled the color pops. A popular die-clash is also seen on the reverse extending from the bottom of E in E-Pluribus to the eagles feathers. A wholesome example that climbs in value very quickly any finer than an AU50. A O-103 variety with no AU50 sale, except 2-XF45 lower grade un-toned and non-cac for $780 12/21 HA and $760 06/21 DL.
