1808 1C VF30 PCGS CAC

Undervalued 1808 1C Classic Head date is overshadowed by the popular 1811 1C. 1808 1C is perhaps most under appreciated because of several factors 1) It is the first year of issue 2) Though mintage shows 1 million, PCGS estimates a total of 4,000 are believed to exist in all grades, yet about 350 are certified by PCGS and about 150 by NGC, not counting duplicates and resubmission and 3) Even in VF and XF these coins go for several thousands only to show that the market and buyers are in need of these coins. Overall we believe the number of survivors of off and this coin represents an excellent value. Furthermore, only 29 1808 1C have been CAC approved from a mintage of 1,007,000 with the only comp APR a PCGS VF35 that sold in 2011, 11 years ago, for $1,955. This coin has attractive tan chocolate brown color with an old time copper look.
