Undoubtedly a key date of the draped bust quarter series. The 1804 25C is second to 1796 in terms of value, but is rarer by all accounts, as the mintage of both these key date are equally the same at just above 6,000 pieces, while there are around 650 1796 25c that exist today in all grades, only 387 exists for the 1804 25c counterpart. In FR02 PCGS, the last comp is for $2,040 03/2020 SB for a non-CAC example. Offered is an evenly worn, attractive example with light tan over salmon pink hues. A collector favorite.
