Any large cent aficionado knows the rarity of this Large Date Small Fraction. It is one of the most popular RedBook Guide variety with an estimated 50 known in all grades and all conditions. The finest of this rare date is VF. Only one die pair is known which is S-264. Most examples are seen with pitted surface, die rust, die crack and environmental damange. This example, however, rises beyond most of the 50 examples. With attractive chocolate brown surface over problem-free surface, this CAC approved example, one of ONLY 3 CAC approved examples in ALL GRADES. 2 in AG03 and 1 in VG08. The other AG03 sold at Goldbergs for $9,900 01/2019 which to us had tremendous amount of nicks. This is by far a more eye appealing example and the opportunity to acquire a newly discovered example will not arise soon.
