1800/798 1ST HAIR 1C VF35 NGC

From a total mintage 2,822,175 for the entire 1800 Draped Bust Cent date, three types of 1800 1C exists: 1800, 1800/798 and 1800/79. PCGS estimates a total of 800 exist but we believe this number in accurate. Consider how in all grades between both PCGS and NGC including all resubmissions a total number of 99 has been certified, given that some early cents in lower condition are not typically certified. This is no where near the 800 purported. Nonetheless, scholars and shrewd collectors have started to realize how undervalued this date and type is. A PCGS VF35 sold for $2,880 and a XF40, a single grade higher, a NON-CAC PCGS XF40 sold 07/20 HA for $7,200. Very few trades exist higher and finer than VF these become almost impossible to find.
