1798 10C LARGE 8 G06 PCGS CAC

Low Ball 18th century Numismatic Americana representation within the Federal Coinage. 1798 Large 8 Draped Bust Dime is one of just 200 known in all grades from a mintage of 27,550 with only less than 5 examples typically seen per grade. At G06, a PCGS POP 4, CAC POP 1 and No NGC examples, the most recent sale was a NON-CAC PCGS G06 for $3,120 10/21 HA. Interestingly, there are no CAC examples approved lower as well. Struck from a late die, as can be seen by the character adding die-crack extending from Lady Liberty's chin downwards and from the nose and upwards, this coin is attractive with some blue highlights over gun-mental grey laced with soft tan brown. Overall a great coin with very few CAC approved examples ideal for a Type Set, Low Ball collection, Year Set and Draped Bust Dime collection.
