BB-81. This 1798 Small Eagle Draped Bust Dollar is a rare and highly sought-after piece of early American coinage. With a mintage of only 10,000 and an estimated 500 coins in existence, this specific coin stands out as the single lowest graded example by CAC and tied with only one other by PCGS. It is noteworthy for the inaugural transition year from Small Eagle to Heraldic Eagle, but also features 15 Stars instead of the traditional 13 Original Colonies. Its exquisite brown-blend and excellent eye appeal make it a standout collectible, with both Liberty and the Eagle's outline clearly visible. The obverse is without a doubt a VG10, whilst the reverse is a G04. An interesting example bu we can see grade higher based on net grade.
