1797 $1 10X6 STARS VF20 PCGS CAC

The obverse of all 1797 Silver Dollars has 16 stars, corresponding to the thirteen original colonies plus the added states post-formation. These stars are either arranged 10 left / 6 right, or 9 left / 7 right - and the 10x6 format with its BB-71, is the sole die variety, and it is roughly twice as rare as the 9x7. This VF20 specimen is well-struck and centered, with the design elements on both sides sharply outlined and clearly visible. The surfaces are pristine, with no visible marks or hits, and its overall surface preservation is among the best we have seen for a VF example. The 1797 Silver Dollar 10x6, is treasured by type enthusiasts who seek the Draped Bust Small Eagle design, and given its overall scarcity, demand remains high. No VF20 PCGS CAC sale has sold before, in-fact the only CAC sale in surrounding grades in the past 7 Years is a two grades lower F12 PCGS CAC for $4,320 11/23 SB and a VF35 PCGS CAC at $8,412 05/22 HA, whilst a non-CAC VF30 sold for $7,800.
