The 1797 Draped Bust Dollar (BB-71, B-3, 9x7 Stars, Large Letters) is a remarkable example sought after due to its distinctive 9x7 star arrangement on the obverse and large letters in the reverse legend. With a limited mintage of just 7,776 coins, this particular example stands out for its toned original patina and breathtaking eye appeal. The surfaces display a rich blend of deep golden brown, olive green, and steel gray toning, accented by vibrant iridescent hues of blue, magenta, and orange, particularly near the periphery, enhancing its exceptional eye appeal. Toning on the reverse consists of steel gray and slate blue hues, complemented by gold and purple undertones.
