1795 Flowing Hair Half O-127a Small Head is a Rarity 6 example. One of the rarest for the Overton varieties for its distinct identifying cracks. We are pleased to offer likely the only CAC example. Featuring two opposite horn-like identifying cracks and a parallel crack in the right obverse field, the coin shows original dark gray fields over light silver devices. Only limited by a few marks, its details remain sharply defined. Furthermore, for the collector of die states, this offers an unprecedented opportunity to acquire the latest state of this obverse die, as can be seen by the depth of the two cracks. Despite no CAC comps, 3 non-CAC are seen in surrounding grades: A VG08 for $4,800 in 2018, a VG10 for $4,560 in 2021 (note this coin features half a crack and not the full) and a F12 for $9,600 in 2018. In fact this exact example sold in 2008 as a non-CAC for $6,613. This specimen outshines all the above mentioned examples by both condition, quality, die state and CAC approval, and we would not be surprised if this brings a new record price for the variety.
