The 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar is a significant type coin and holds an important place in numismatic history. The "Two Leaves" variety of this issue refers to the clusters of leaves beneath the eagle's left and right wings, where some coins show two leaves per clump and others three. This Good-6 (PCGS) example is a rare and desirable instance of the Two Leaves variety, displaying light dove-grey highlights across the high points that contrast beautifully with darker slate-grey fields. Despite heavy circulation, the coin has been remarkably well-preserved, with smooth surfaces and strong central details. CAC-approved for quality, this piece offers collectors an appealing, original example in a moderately affordable grade.

This is the O-104 R.4 variety, which is considerably rarer than the other Overton varieties. The only auction comparison for this coin is a VG08 CAC-certified O-104 that sold for $3,120 10/22 HA. The CAC Guide lists the O-104 variety at $2,500.
