Pop 1 and Lowest at CAC. This 1795 Liberty Cap Right Half Cent, attributed to the rare Punctuated Date, Lettered Edge variety, represents a vital transitional issue in early Federal copper coinage. Struck from the same die pair later used for thin planchet, plain edge pieces, this early state example retains its original edge lettering and the distinctive punctuation between the digits in the date.
