Flowing Hair Half Dime
1794 H10C AG03 PCGS. LM-4 Rarity 4. First year issue for the half dime series, and the first coin to have been struck at the U.S Mint in Philadelphia. 1794 Flowing Hair Half Dime officially did not have any mintage record. With estimates at 7,756 for the mintage with approximately 550 believed to exist today, 1794 h10c is a key date and has a population of one tenth of the 1795 h10c for the short lived Flowing Hair Half Dime series. This thoroughly worn AG-03 piece shows well-defined devices despite the grade. The reverse shows the hallmark LM-4 advanced die state crack. 2 coins in similar grades have sold a FR02 PCGS and G06 PCGS, both of which brought $2,640 at auction in 2019 and 2020 respectively. This is likely the cheapest one can pay to acquire a problem-free key date first year important historical 1794 h10c issue.
