Liberty Cap Half Cent
Tied for Lowest at CAC. We seldom cross paths with important low-grade specimens such as this current one for Key Dates. This Liberty Cap Half Cent is one of the first U.S coins to be minted and only in 1793. What makes this piece more intriguing is that it is a perfect lowball grade at P01 by PCGS and is also CAC approved. These surfaces typically have corrosion or aqua-green like patina due to oxidation, but this piece has a problem-free surface. The details of the lady liberty are still nicely visible given its grade. Deriving from a mintage of just 35,334, only 1,090 pieces are known to presently exist in all grades. This piece has no CAC comparison for over 8 years making it all the more unique and exclusive. Perfect Type Coin and Low Ball.
