1891 25C PR66 PCGS

Mintage 600. Proof Liberty Seated Quarters can be readily obtained depending on the dates; however, 1891 25C is a sleeper date. Not many realize how small this mintage actually is. The present example is wholly original with no hairlines, fully struck and no hits or marks worth mentioning. There is a small character-adding unique planchet flaw on the bottom reverse at 7pm below Q in QUAR which disqualified it from receiving a CAC sticker. But beside that this coin is absolutely PQ. The last PCGS non-CAC sale was for $1,920 which did not feature much color unlike this which shows sun-yellow hues encased in light blue centers. Exceptionally vibrant and really pops in hand.
