Liberty Seated Dollar
Discover a beautiful Liberty Seated Dollar series with this 1871 $1 coin. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint with a mintage of just over a million, many of these coins were exported overseas, predominantly for Asian trade, resulting in approximately only 3,000 pieces estimated today across in all grades. We absolutely love this piece boasting a captivating obverse, adorned with a vibrant palette of deep apricot, sea-green, light blue and splashes of blood-red. No relevant auction comparable exists though a non-toned CAC AU53 sold for $2,160 11/22 ST, and in our archives a similar but less attractive 1846 $1 AU55 PCGS. This is one of the wildest and most attractive peripheral toners we have seen on a circulated Liberty Seated Dollar.
