One of the most attractive Bust Half dollars extant. An O-108 R.2 with no wear seen in our eyes, perhaps mistaken for wear instead of a strike. Regardless of the grade, which to us does not dictate the value but the combination of everything that this Bust Half has going on. There is an abundance of luster throughout the coin which echoes that of an MS. The colors are on point with deep pink centers to cobalt blue around the peripheries played with stark yellow and neon green surrounding the devices. The reverse fields a tan red rose surrounded too by cobalt blue around the peripheries as luster screams from the devices. Shocking another 1831 gold cac exists also pcgs au53 which sold for $3,600 at Heritage. In our opinion, this stacks up and is no doubt of the same if not a higher caliber. A true monster toner, and should this have been at auction would likely break records.
