This 1806 Draped Bust Quarter is one of the most attractive piece of early American coinage in VG grade. With a mintage of 206,124, only 2.3% are estimated to survive today. The non-overdated 1806 Quarter is often considered the best representative example of the Draped Bust type, but this particular coin exhibits original toning in soft ash-brown, accented by teal blue and coppery-orange hues. The coin is well struck, showing better than average definition, and its eye appeal is outstanding. No relevant comps are known however non-toned examples sell for around $900-$1,000.
