1916-D 10C MS63 FB OGH PCGS CAC

A Registry-Caliber Full Band Example of the Mercury Dime’s Paramount Key in a Coveted PCGS Old Green Holder

The 1916-D Mercury dime stands as the undisputed key to one of the most popular series in American numismatics. Few examples survive across all grades in FB, and fully struck Mint State pieces with Full Bands designation are among the most coveted by advanced collectors. This impressive MS63 FB, housed in a highly desirable PCGS Old Green Holder (OGH) and further distinguished by CAC approval, displays vibrant frosty silver-white luster with delicate champagne-gold highlights that accentuate its outstanding originality. The exceptional strike and original surfaces combine to create superior eye appeal and make this an ideal Registry-quality example. As the unquestioned key to the Mercury dime series, examples combining CAC approval and an Old Green Holder are seldom encountered and command strong collector interest. No MS63 FB CAC has sold in recent years much less in OGH and of this caliber. The PCGS Price Guide lists the issue at $33,500, while the CAC Price Guide stands at $39,500.
