Undervalued and Key High-End 1914 $10 CAC-Approved Gem
The 1914 Indian Head eagle in MS65 represents a scarce and highly desirable issue at the Gem level, with demand driven by advanced series specialists. In fact it is one of the rarest P mints after the famed 1933 $10. Considering 1914 is rarer than all other P-Mint yet this date has a CAC Price same as 1913 and 1915 where the number of survivors are almost double makes this date one of the most undervalued in the series. The addition of CAC approval elevates the coin into a far more select and elusive category. This Premium Gem is a notably high-end representative for the grade, exhibiting fully original medium yellow-gold color that is evenly distributed across both sides and enhanced by a thick, satiny mint frost, producing a soft, glowing radiance. The surfaces are well-preserved with strong overall definition, and the visual balance is particularly appealing, resulting in outstanding eye appeal. At finer levels, the issue becomes increasingly difficult, making the MS65 grade an ideal combination of quality and collectability for most advanced collections. A NGC CAC-approved example last realized $14,400 07/23 HA. Considering non-CAC PCGS and NGC MS66 sell for $18,000-$20,000 we clearly see more support for its undervalued nature. Dare we say this looks as nice as any MS66 we have seen as well.
