A First-Year San Francisco Semi-Key with Near-Full Red Color, Gem-Caliber Quality and the Coveted CAC–EEPS–OGH Trifecta.

The 1908-S Indian Head Cent represents the first year of cent production at the San Francisco Mint and is one of the most desirable semi-key issues in the series. This MS64 Red Brown example is further distinguished by its coveted combination of CAC approval, Eagle Eye Photo Seal (EEPS), and a highly desirable PCGS Old Green Holder (OGH)—features that significantly enhance its originality, collector appeal, and market desirability. Both sides exhibit vibrant luster beneath rich golden-red patina. The premium quality of this piece is immediately evident, offering a level of originality and eye appeal well above that expected for a typical MS64 Red Brown example. The most recent public sale of a standard MS64 RB PCGS example realized $1,260 & $1,320 04/25 HA, although those coins lacked both the desirable Old Green Holder and Eagle Eye Photo Seal found on the present specimen, making this example appreciably more desirable to advanced collectors. Most would agree this coin looks better than a 64. Considering non-CAC NGC and PCGS MS65 RB sell for around $1,300-$1,500 makes this a good purchase in our opinion. CAC Price $1,400.
