The PCGS Population Report records only 3 examples at the Proof-67+ Cameo level. From a mintage of only 846 pieces and the fact that the issue was never widely saved, truly elite survivors remain highly coveted today. Auction comparable for CAMEO PR67+ PCGS CAC that are non-toned are far and few, but a similar date and rarity 1900 50C PR67+ CAM PCGS CAC recently sold for $18,300 06/26 SB from the Young-Dakota example which i would contend this offered example is significantly nicer with fields more boldly contrasted. We would say this is very close to a DCAM designation. The 1899 50C PR68+ CAM PCGS CAC Young-Dakota example sold for $43,920 06/26 SB. Price Guides havent caught up after the Young-Dakota sale but no doubt new price levels have been established.
