1830 50C SMALL 0 MS67+ PCGS CAC

The Single Finest 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar Small 0 MS67+ CAC, represents a true landmark among Bust half dollars and is one of the finest Bust Halves in the entire series. A PCGS Population 1/0 example with none finer and finest by 2 grades. Struck from a year with a substantial mintage of 4,764,800 pieces across 23 die marriages, this example stands alone at the apex of the issue, and clearly is the best at the top of the Condition Census. The surfaces are completely original and essentially pristine, devoid of any significant marks or abrasions whatsoever, with a bold layer of semi-reflective silver luster radiating beneath rich olive-gray and warm rose toning across the obverse. Beneath the deeply blended blanket of olive, warm peach-rose, lavender, teal, blue, gold, and soft steel hues, the underlying silver brilliance still glows, and what can only be described as spectacular, museum-level eye. With no PCGS Price Guide value at MS67+ though common dates MS67+ Price Guide from other dates start at $115,000 for the most common and go up and onwards depending on the dates. This Superb Gem is not only the unquestioned finest known but is the finest 1830 half dollar regardless of die marriage, a trophy-level piece destined for the most advanced date, type, or Overton cabinet. An interesting note, the last MS67+ PCGS regardless of CAC or not last sold 13 years ago for $141,000 11/2013 HA. Safe to say these do not pop up in this condition and level, and is perfect for a Type Set. Finding a higher grade example for the type will be impossible. We see tremendous potential in this and other MS67+ CAC examples.
